Zalman Gradowski On The Auschwitz-Birkenau Uprising

Zalman Gradowski was a Jewish prisoner at Birkenau who was forced to work in the Sonderkommando unit. While at the camp, Zalman wrote dozens of notes that he hid in various places throughout the camp, describing what he and the Jews went through in “hell on earth – Auschwitz-Birkenau”. Zalman participated in the Birkenau revolt and was killed during the uprising. Thanks to AI technology developed by the Israeli startup D-ID, the International March pf the Living is able to tell Zalman Gradowski’s story as if he were telling it himself, to perpetuate his memory and the memory of his family, just as he pleaded in the notes that he left behind.
