Commemorating Jewish Heroism in Their Own Words: Women’s Courier Network

When Poland was conquered by Nazi Germany, Jews were subject to movement restrictions. In order to pass through the ghettos, cities and various regions, a Jewish woman’s network of couriers was established. Young girls and women traveled the roads under false identities, transferring information, saving people and smuggling money and ammunition on their bodies. Two of these brave warriors are Chavka Folman Raban and Hella Rofaisen. Using the AI technology developed by Israeli startup D-ID, the International March of the Living presents the story of these brave couriers as if they were telling it themselves.
