Dear MOL Alumnus,
We have just completed a most successful 2010 March of the Living where 10,000 participants from 52 communities around the globe came together in Poland to remember, recall and recount the horrors of the Shoah. Visiting the sites and marching en masse, students, survivors, teens and adults have once again stood strong in their commitment to pass the torch of memory to the next generation and beyond as we pledge to Never Forget.
In 2013 the International March of the Living will mark its 25th anniversary, during which time over 200,000 participants will have joined us in Poland and Israel to commemorate the Holocaust and the resiliency of the Jewish people as they emerged from the concentration camps of Europe, defied annihilation and created a vibrant society that is today’s State of Israel.
For the very special 25th Anniversary March of the Living, we hope to bring together alumni from each March since 1988 to celebrate the bonds of the Jewish People around the world as we continue to remember the Holocaust, its victims and its survivors.
In order to achieve this vision, we are embarking on an alumni recruitment effort to contact and connect with alumni from our quarter century of continuing success. We hope that you will join our alumni network.
We invite you to follow us on Facebook as we reach out to new generations of Jewish youth to help educate them about the realities of the Holocaust, the importance of learning from lessons from that dark chapter in world history and the role we each must play in the ever-present and most relevant drive to combat anti-semistism and all forms of racism wherever and whenever they may occur.
Please take a few minutes to become a fan now and help us spread the word through your own social networking outreach so that all can join in our effort to make the International March of the Living 25th Anniversary another truly memorable moment in time!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Greenberg Heideman
